A New Baby for BISA!

It is with great delight and happiness that we announce the arrival of Ms Elle Peterson's baby boy, Crew! I am sure everyone knows Ms Elle who was so instrumental in setting up our hugely successful Music Keys Programme. Baby Crew is the most beautiful little (big!) boy! We wish Elle, Dean and baby Crew all the happiness in the world.

BISA Runs for World Peace

This week our students joined the  Peace Runners to bring the flame of peace to our campus. It was a really inspiring meeting, bringing calmness, hope and peace to us all. It is so needed in our world today.

"The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run is a global torch relay that embodies humanity's universal aspiration for peace. Since its inception in 1987 the Run has traversed over 150 nations and territories and touched the lives of millions of people. We estimate since 1987 the torch has been carried over 395,000 miles (632,000 km). The Peace Run does not seek to raise money or highlight any political cause, but simply strives to create goodwill among peoples of all nations."

"By passing the torch from one person to the next, the relay offers people from many nations the opportunity to express their hopes and dreams for a better, brighter future. People from all walks of life hold the symbolic torch to wish for a peaceful world. Passing the torch from one person to the next unites us together in our common aspiration to offer something positive to our world – together we can make a difference!"

Teeny Tots in the Pool!

FS1 had their first swimming lesson this week!

There are many great life-long benefits of childhood swimming, and plenty of wonderful reasons to start early.

Research has shown that early swimmers perform better socially and academically, and that swimming from an early age:

  • enhances gross motor skill development and coordination
  • promotes personality development
  • leads to greater happiness, health, and development of the ‘whole’ child.
