A New Baby for BISA!

It is with great delight and happiness that we announce the arrival of Ms Elle Peterson's baby boy, Crew! I am sure everyone knows Ms Elle who was so instrumental in setting up our hugely successful Music Keys Programme. Baby Crew is the most beautiful little (big!) boy! We wish Elle, Dean and baby Crew all the happiness in the world.

Year 6 Greek Art

Year 6 have been sketching Doric, Ionic and Corinthian Greek columns using chalk. They have been focusing on using different types of shading to create depth to their sketches. They look fantastic! Take a look...

Year 3 has been learning life in ancient Egypt as part of their topic work this term.

The class found out all about the ritual of mummification.  We were able to order the steps taken to prepare the body.  We couldn’t believe that the brain could be pulled out of the head through the nostrils! Yuk!

We had a lot of fun making our own Mummies - not real ones, of course!

Maisha Matters Peanut Butter and Milk Update

Year 6 are so excited to be continuing their journey with Maisha Matters as part of their community project. We have kicked off to a great start with the launch of our milk and peanut butter pledge. There was great excitement among the children whilst handing over September's donations from all the pledging Braeburn families to Maisha Matters.

Maisha Matters empowers Tanzanian families to care for their children. They give initial life-saving support that will permanently allow them to move themselves out of poverty.

The pledge boxes are now ready for your October contribution of formula and peanut butter in the cow boxes positioned outside of the primary reception office.  Thank you to the families who have already pledged.

Thank you Braeburn community for helping Year 6 make a difference.
