In our Primary School, children aged 5 to 11 years engage in meaningful learning in a dynamic environment. They are learning to work together, communicate, question and challenge, and unpick problems; and their learning goes far beyond the curriculum.
Our Primary curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum produced by the Department of Education (England). It is divided into two distinct key stages: Key Stage 1 (age 5 to 7 years) and Key Stage 2 (age 7 to 11 years).

Our Learning Environment
We offer a range of top-quality resources including Information Technology, specialist Science laboratories and preparation rooms, purpose-built specialist classrooms and studios, the only Nature School site in Tanzania, and a wetland learning zone. To support our extracurricular programmes, we have a covered amphitheatre, a Music suite with practice rooms, a floodlit hard court for basketball, netball and tennis, and a 25-metre swimming pool. Junior boarding houses provide a warm and welcoming environment for our boarding students.

We prioritise tracking each child’s attainment and progress throughout Primary school. Teachers use a combination of ongoing observations and regular teacher assessments to build a detailed picture of each child’s development.
This is supported by CAT4 assessments (Cognitive Ability Tests) which provide valuable insights into a child’s learning potential, and a range of standardised assessments that allow us to benchmark progress against international expectations. By bringing these measures together, we can identify individual strengths, highlight areas for support, and ensure that every child is on a pathway to achieve their best.
