As a teacher there is nothing better than seeing the amazing transformation that a child makes into becoming a young adult.  This weekend we celebrated the achievements and accomplishments of the Year 11 and Year 13 students who have completed their examinations.

Both nights the students did not disappoint with their amazing suits and gowns. Friday night we enjoyed the entertainment from  Y11 Class with a song entitled "unconditionally Bae"and an amazing solo from Lehakoe and on Saturday the crowd were on their feet with Clinton and Y13 Class with a song entitled "Sugar Cane and Midnight Train."

The speeches from the individual teachers showed just how much these young people do, from their academics, sporting achievements, community service through to mountain climbing. But they also show just how much the students mean to us as teachers; one speech pointing out just how much we learn from the students themselves.  It was exciting to hear about the university places the year 13 have been offered and we eagerly await to hear where they will all choose.

Each student received an amazing hardback portfolio with their speeches and an array of photos that they will treasure forever.

Graduations are a time to celebrate  our young people and wish them all the best as they take their steps into further education and for our year 13s as they move into universities all over the world.
