Accreditations

BISA has accreditation from different organisations as well as being an approved examination centre for multiple exam bodies.

Our most recent CIS (Council of International Schools) report from the visiting team in October 2021 stated: 'BISA's academic outcomes have never been stronger, the enviable ethos of the school provides a genuine 'family feel' for its community members. The campus continues to improve as the board invests in the development of its facilities and infrastructure. The residential programme is expanding, as are the numbers in the creche, and the enthusiastic support that the school enjoys from its parents, students, and staff points to an optimistic future.'

'BISA has many enviable qualities; these include a committed and capable community of teachers, a leadership team with decades of experience in the current setting, an extremely loyal, supportive, and diverse parent community, students that any school would proud of, a dedicated team of administrative and support staff which is fully committed to making the campus a stimulating place to learn and work, an impressive curriculum offering that supports the performing arts, very good academic results, an attractive and scenic green campus, a residential programme that is expanding because of its reputation, and a committed support network.'

Council of International Schools

The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a global non-profit membership organisation. The CIS vision is to inspire the development of global citizens through high quality international education: connecting ideas, cultures and educators from every corner of the world. Within CIS membership are schools that have achieved a mark of high quality and rigour.

This recognition signifies that the school has completed a comprehensive self-study and international peer review as part of a continuous improvement process focusing on standards and indicators that promote the development of student knowledge, skills, attributes and actions aligned with the CIS Definition of Global Citizenship.

Colleges and universities worldwide acknowledge that a CIS Accredited School meets internationally-agreed and recognised standards and develops global citizens with the qualities and skills that they are seeking in students. CIS International Accreditation is recognised by the National Association of Independent Schools (USA), and by many governmental and non-governmental agencies around the world.
