The annual Inter-House Swimming Gala took place on Wednesday, 5th March, and what a spectacular day it was! The energy, the excitement, and the competitive spirit were all in full flow as students from all houses took to the pool, eager to showcase their talent and teamwork.
The morning kicked off with the primary students diving into the competition. The sun was shining, the water was sparkling, and the atmosphere was electric with cheers from every corner. House spirit was on full display as students raced through their events, pushing their limits to secure points for their teams. It was a thrilling morning of swimming, with each child giving their best. Most importantly, while the competition was fierce, the sense of fun and camaraderie was even greater!
After a morning of incredible performances, the final scores for the primary competition were as follows:
🥇 1st Place: Lengai – 223 points
🥈 2nd Place: Mawenzi – 202 points
🥉 3rd Place: Kilimanjaro – 179 points
🎖 4th Place: Meru – 175 points
A huge congratulations to Lengai for claiming the top spot and to all swimmers for their determination and team spirit!
As the afternoon rolled in, it was time for the secondary students to make a splash. The competition reached new heights as the reigning champions, Lengai, faced fierce challengers eager to claim victory this year. The house cheers grew louder, the competition tougher, and the race for the trophy more intense than ever.
The swimmers delivered outstanding performances, demonstrating skill, endurance, and sheer determination in every race. It was a battle of speed and strategy, with each house pushing hard for the win. In the end, Meru emerged victorious, dethroning the previous champions and securing the top spot with an impressive 215 points!
Final standings for secondary were:
🥇 1st Place: Meru – 215 points
🥈 2nd Place: Kilimanjaro – 192 points
🥉 3rd Place: Mawenzi – 179 points
🎖 4th Place: Lengai – 161 points
A massive congratulations to Meru for their incredible win, and to all the swimmers for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship!
A Big Thank You! This fantastic event would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our teachers and non teaching staff, who ensured everything ran smoothly. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to the parents who came to cheer on their children, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of encouragement and support.
Whether in the pool or on the sidelines, every student played a part in making this year’s Inter-House Swimming Gala a memorable one. Until next year, keep swimming, keep striving, and keep that house spirit alive!
