All the Fun of Spirit Week!

From the 26th to 30th of June, Braeburn International School Arusha was transformed into a vibrant hub of energy, camaraderie and friendly competition. It’s a time of year where all students and staff get to involve themselves in a fun and exciting event that is aimed to support our scholarship fund and bring people together with joy and creativity. Each participant paid 2,000tsh per day to come dressed in the theme; this money is divided equally between the scholarships and school improvement funds!
On Monday, we had a marvellous Monday that was Pyjama day: we started the week off in cosy fashion! We rolled out of bed and into school wearing our favourite pyjamas. Showing off our creative bedtime attire, whether it's a onesie, a matching or comfortable slippers!
On Tuesday we had an amazing twin day: The search for the perfect twin began as students brainstormed, collaborated and decided who they would pair up with for Twin Day. Friends, classmates, or even teachers formed dynamic duos, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day!
On Wednesday we had a unique crazy hair day: Crazy Hair Day encouraged everyone to tap into their inner stylist and experiment with unconventional hairstyles. From gravity-defying updos to vibrant and colourful creations, participants were encouraged to let their imaginations run wild!
On Friday we had an old people day: Old People Day allowed participants to embody the mannerisms, speech patterns, and quirks associated with senior citizens. We encouraged students to practise walking with a slight shuffle, speak with a gentle and wise tone, and to sprinkle their conversations with old-fashioned phrases and sayings. This playful character acting added an element of humour and authenticity to the day.
