Another Spectacular Bonfire Night!

11th November 2022

Our annual bonfire night is often talked about as the biggest event of the year in Arusha and this year was no exception. Attended by a huge crowd of nearly 1800 people, it was our biggest yet!

Organising Bonfire Night is a school-wide operation, with our entire school community playing their part to bring you an amazing show. From our Music department putting together an incredible performance to our Early Years team putting together activities for the littlest visitors, it is a true demonstration of our amazing school community.

Let's hear from one of our BTEC Business students about the experience of organising such an incredible event.

"This year being part of the Level 3 BTEC Business class and part of the organisation team was exceptional. Bonfire was a success from the organisation, to the fireworks, the stalls and to the sponsors. I was working at the raffle and the silent auction stall the whole night. The raffles went exceptionally well and sold multiple tickets throughout the evening. I really enjoyed being there and being a part of the team as I met many people and broadened my social circle. Moreover, that increased my confidence to talk to others and work as a team. Working as a team was not easy, however we learned each other's strengths and utilised them to our advantage. I learned a variety of skills that I’m able to use in my daily routine; for example, I learned how to manage, schedule and organise. This came in handy when dealing with a big event, such as bonfire. Furthermore I found this quite challenging but I also had the urge to conquer the road bumps that lead to the big night." - Sakina Hussein

A massive thank you to all who came along and a massive hongera to the entire school community for their success!
