Arusha sweeps the board at the Braeburn Sports Festival

19th September 2022

Last weekend, fourteen BISA athletes travelled to Nairobi to take part in the Braeburn Sports Festival held at Braeburn Garden Estate. Students were divided into mixed teams to compete in a range of fitness exercises and sports. Let's hear from our athletes!

"It quickly became apparent that our students were the fittest and most enthusiastic of the group. We showed amazing resilience and determination throughout the event – even when everyone was tired – no one was tempted to sit out or give up. Clinton set the bar high when he overtook everyone in the 1500m and won the race. Our team showed fantastic team spirit, encouragement and support of each other throughout the day."

Winners!

"As a result, our students took all three awards on offer! Cai Lems was awarded the Best Female Athlete; Arturo Colombo was awarded the Best Male Athlete, and Levis Filikunjombe was rewarded with the MVP for his exceptional sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
A big thanks goes to Mr Masudi and Miss Wiz for taking time out from their weekend to take us and to train us for this event."

Hongera to all of you! We are so proud of you.
