BISA Mini Cup Of Nations

10th February 2022

The annual inter-schools, Under 7s football event took place on Thursday 10th February, hosted by BISA. The BISA Mini Cup Of Nations featured students from almost all the other international schools in Arusha.

This annual event is a fun introduction to the world of inter-school events for some of our youngest students and gives them an opportunity to apply their newly learned skills in the context of friendly competition.

The BISA Sporting Etiquette policy asks our students to:

  • Dress correctly for matches
  • Greet the arriving teams
  • Never question a referee decision
  • Shake hands with opposition players and coach at the end of a match
  • Celebrate a score or goal without going wild or disrespecting the opposition
  • Be polite and respectful regardless of winning or losing

Under the hot sun, our young aspiring footballers were excellent examples of these expectations. They competed valiantly and were respectful towards both their opposing teams and our BTEC students who were responsible for officiating the matches.

We are so proud of all of our players for their great sportsmanship on the day and for welcoming the other school teams with open arms.

The win for BISA was not to be with the first and second places taken by SCIS and UWCEA respectively.

Well done to all who competed!
