BISA Shines at African Court Library Day 2023

On 12 September 2023, BISA was among the invited schools to attend the African Court Library Day celebration in Arusha. The event was attended by African Court Judges, lawyers, law students, and librarians. Our school was represented by six students: Chantal, Clinton, Vumi, Emmy-Ella, Baylor, and Narindwa.

The highlight of the event was the presence of the President of the African Court, Honorable Lady Justice Imani A. Aboud, who was accompanied by Honorable Lady Justice Ntyam Mengue, Chair of the Judges on Library, Legal Aid and Training. The ceremony started at 9:00 a.m. with the Court of Africa anthem and a poem recital. The Head of the Library gave a short remark, emphasising the importance of safe data sharing among libraries and e-library platforms. He also mentioned the plan to expand the African Court Library in Arusha.

The ceremony was held at Kibo Hall, which is located within the African Court compound at TANAPA Arusha. It was a great honour for BISA to be part of such a prestigious event and to have our students represent us.

Overall, it was a wonderful event that set the tone for what promises to be a successful and productive gathering for a better future relationship between schools and judicial institutions.
