The BTEC Business students had the chance to visit Westerwelle Startup Haus Arusha (WSH) on Friday, October 18. Let's hear from one of the students:
"WSH is a German non-profit with the goal of empowering entrepreneurship in developing markets and the economy as a whole. The Westerwelle Foundation has centres in Tunis and Kigali, in addition to an online program that welcomes business people from all around the world. The company is housed in the mega-complex building's seventh story. The company provides a fully furnished coworking area with conference rooms, private offices, a communal kitchen, a lounge area, and flexible workstations. When we arrived, the tranquil ambiance and picturesque view of the WHS's contemporary strategy for an efficient work environment warmly welcomed us. Based on observation, the company utilised space efficiently, as there were desks and rooms of different sizes distributed evenly.
The facilities were top-notch, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were able to observe how the environment, along with lighting colour and furniture, can have a significant impact on production levels because everyone we observed working there was completely absorbed in their task. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm workspace. They had some amazing interior conceptual designs, and we were able to take a ton of pictures and obtain some fantastic inspiration for our own business department. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to visit the facility."
