“Cooking is one of the oldest arts and one which has rendered us the most important service in civic life.”
– Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826)
Our Secondary students experience the joys of cooking on a weekly basis. Year 7 and 8 enjoy cooking as part of their Design and Technology curriculum with students from Year 9 upwards who can take Food and Nutrition as a subject.
Additionally our Sixth Form students have the opportunity to learn how to cook on a budget to better prepare them for their next steps in university.
It is no exaggeration to say that cooking improves your life greatly. In the present fast-paced age, due to the easy means by which ready-to-eat food is available, people are neglecting to learn cooking as they find it no longer essential. Once you master this skill you’ll know its importance from the way your life style changes. Cooking helps you to attain qualities like confidence, creativity, good planning and organizational skills, and many more.
