Hello BISA parents, guardians and teachers. I hope your holidays were restful.
Yashita Awasthi (equality prefect) and I, Shannon Cox (emotional prefect) began a project towards the end of the school year, in hopes of raising money to support underprivileged girls who are unable to afford menstrual products. We are working with a doctor based in Moshi, Dr. Cornelia Wallner, who donates menstrual cups to local girls and women as an economically and environmentally safe alternative to disposable menstrual products. By speaking at Braeburn assemblies and hosting bake sales, we have begun to raise money and spread awareness for this cause. Now we are coming to you in hopes that you will spread the word or possibly donate to help support and empower those in need of basic hygiene products. Below is the link to our GoFundMe page, which has options to share or donate. Any amount of donation, be it $1, is much appreciated and will all contribute to changing the lives of multiple underprivileged girls. We hope you consider supporting this project, and we thank you very much!
Best Regards,
Yashita Awasthi & Shannon Cox
