“A farewell is necessary before we can meet again, and meeting again after moments or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends.” – Richard Bach
The end of the school year at BISA is always bittersweet with many farewells being said to both students and staff.
This year, BISA is saying goodbye to a number of members of staff as they move on to new adventures.
We are saying farewell to Mr Glyn Richards, our KS4 Leader and Maths Teacher. Glyn and his fiancee Emily are off on a new adventure to Hanoi in Vietman. He has been a part of BISA for four years and will be missed enormously.
BISA wish Glyn and Emily all the best on their new adventure!

We are also saying goodbye to our Head of Sixth Form and History Teacher, Mr Adam Waller. Adam also joined BISA four years ago and has been a big part of our school community. Adam is off to teach History in Moscow, Russia in September.
Best of luck, Adam! BISA will miss you!

Mr Patrick Bongo, our Secondary ICT Teacher, is also off on a new adventure with his family. As of September, Patrick will be teaching at the Shanghai United International School in China. We will miss Patrick and his family here at BISA and wish them the best in their new school!
We want to say a huge thank you for all their contributions to BISA over the years – it goes without saying that each member of staff will be missed terribly by both the staff and student body.
With every goodbye comes a ‘hello’, and in August we will be welcoming two new members of staff to the BISA teaching team.
Mr Andrew Flanagan will be joining us from the UK as our new Head of Sixth Form. He will be teaching Sociology and Business.
Mr Aaron Wheatley will also be joining us from the UK as our new History Teacher in Secondary.
We look forward to welcoming you both to Arusha in the new school term in August!
