Water volleyball, snorkelling, jetty jumping, kayaking, rock pooling, body surfing... there weren't many activities our Year Sixs didn't get up to during our week long residential to Fish Eagle Point. And boy did they love it, even the slightly chilly showers couldn't wipe the grins off their faces!
Some of the children's highlights include:
"Hotdogging, it was incredibly fun, especially when Laxmi, Nadya and I nearly fell off!" Kristien
"Jumping off the jetty - it was such a long way down. I must have jumped 20 times and did a different pose every time!" Eun Jin
"Hotdogging also! I loved getting the sea water in my face, it was a bumpy old ride and we fell/jumped off." Jasper
'My favourite thing was snorkelling because I could finally see live fish. The highlight was seeing the blue/black/white striped fish." Jeriel
'The hotdog of course! The waves were SO big and we spent our time jumping about." Charllate
In between all the fun in the sea (sometimes it was warmer in than out) we spent time building desks for the local school as part of our Gold Junior Dragon Community Service. We split into two groups - the Wood Chuckers and the Lumberjacks - and sawed, hammered, and planed all morning to build our two splending desks which we were so proud of.
