Flute-making at Twende Innovations

27th June 2025

What an exciting day Year 4 had at the Twende workshop in Njiro! Twende is an incredible organization dedicated to fostering local community development through repurposing materials and innovation.

Our students plunged into a day of discovery, deepening their understanding of sound. They even got to craft their own flutes using plastic pipes and wood dowels. Imagine the scene: a workshop buzzing with focused energy as our young learners mastered accurate measurement, honed their tool-handling skills, and practiced essential shop safety.

Oh, how we wish you could have heard the Tanzanian National Anthem echoing through the workshop, played with such pride on their handmade instruments!

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Twende! Every visit is a new adventure, equipping our students with invaluable skills and problem-solving techniques. It's clear that Twende makes learning FUN, transforming our students into creative inventors right before our eyes!
