Arusha's Braeburn International School had a lively and productive Friday Night Lights 3x3 Basketball Tournament last Friday. Many people attended the event, including spectators from St. Constantine and students from local clubs and schools as far as Moshi.
Three categories of 3x3 basketball games were offered in the tournament: Open, Under 19, and Under 16. The Bucketeers—which included Oswadiq Kea from Braeburn—won the Open division. Moshi's team won the Under 19 division, while Duwa's team took first place in the Under 16 division.
The event included a 3-pointer and free throw shooting challenge, which raised the enthusiasm. Gran Melia generously gave vouchers to the winners of both competitions.
The evening's fundraising success was one of its most noteworthy accomplishments; without any sponsors, the event raised an amazing 1,654,000 Tanzanian shillings, which will be supporting the scholarship fund. This wonderful accomplishment demonstrated the community's overwhelming support and excitement for the occasion.
Overall, the Braeburn Arusha Friday Night Lights 3x3 Basketball Tournament was a celebration of good sportsmanship, community pride, and youth participation that left everyone excited for more.
