Year 1/2 T and M had an unforgettable experience during their visit to Oljoro Plantations Ltd – The Travas Family Farm. The day was packed with hands-on learning, exploration, and plenty of joyful moments that brought smiles to every face.
From the moment they arrived, the excitement was high. The children strolled through the farm’s stunning flower fields, happily plucking blooms and taking in the natural beauty around them. They learned about crops such as barley, corn, sunflowers, and beans, observing how these plants grow and thrive on the farm.
A visit to the fishpond brought even more excitement, as the children eagerly fed the fish and watched them splash and dart about. In the fruit orchard, they picked fresh fruit straight from the trees—a delicious and rewarding way to learn about where our food comes from.
One of the most heartwarming parts of the visit was the petting area, where everyone had the chance to get up close with friendly farm animals. Year 1/2 T and M showed great care and curiosity as they gently petted goats, calves and more.
And of course, no farm visit would be complete without the much-anticipated tractor and trailer ride! With wide eyes and laughter all around, the children enjoyed a bumpy and scenic tour of the farm, waving to animals and farm workers in the fields along the way.
A huge thank you to the Travas family for opening up their farm and creating such a rich, engaging experience. It was a truly memorable day for Year 1/2 T and M—full of discovery, fun, and a deeper connection to nature.
