Greek Day for Year 6

Year 6 has had a very busy Term 1!
From our Production to our day-to-day learning it has been quite incredible to see how resilient our Braeburn students are. With our topic of Ancient Greece, we have been learning about the Greek Gods, comparing the landscape of Greece to Zanzibar, debating about living in Sparta or Athens and much, much more.
On our Greek Day, the children relived one of the five main events of the original Olympics - wrestling! They absolutely loved it and smiles beamed as they made their victory wreaths in class. We then sat down for a Greek buffet courtesy of George’s Tavern, an incredibly tasty meal that gave the children the opportunity to try Souvlaki, Moussaka, and many other traditional Greek dishes. Thank you to George and his amazing chefs and thank you to Year 6 for being so energetic and determined, even when a long term is coming to its close. Year 6, rest and relax over the Christmas period - we have 2 more terms full of learning and excitement!
