Key Stage 2 'WOW' in Willy Wonka Jr

Based on the classic book by Roald Dahl, Willy Wonka Jr tells the story of the famous candy inventor, Willy Wonka, and the chaos that ensues when they decide to open their factory gates to five lucky kids and their parents for a tour.

Filled with catchy songs and dances, our KS2 students brought this show to our stage on Friday 25th November 2022 and the results were out of this world! Here are just a few of the many reasons why this story is so loved!

At it's heart, the classic story from Roald Dahl is all about family. The Buckets might not have much to their name, but their love means more than any material possession.

It's a story that shows dreams can come true! How our audience celebrated when Charlie finally found that Golden Ticket!

Willy Wonka is as loopy as can be, but incredibly brilliant and a total genius when it comes to chocolate. Their unpredictable and erratic personality makes them all the more interesting. They shows it is okay to be different!

Then there's the 'love to hate' characters and their just desserts! The four other golden ticket holders are as spoilt as they come, but following Veruca Salt, Augustus Gloop, Mike Teavee and Violet Beauregarde as they meet their fate is utterly thrilling.
