Meet Some New Faces!

19th June 2020

MEET MR. OSITA MATTHEWS

Osita C. Matthews is a seasoned teacher of ICT and Computer Science with a successful teaching experience of more than twelve years that has seen him produce some of the best results at the British and local examinations respectively. The students that he taught in 2019 achieved 72.7% A* - A at the ICT exams while the Computer Science result was graded as 100% A* - A; making this result the best nationwide.

His ability to incorporate industry-based knowledge into magical lessons and provide continuous support for students and staff is remarkable and this has seen him serve in various capacities such as Departmental head, Duke of Edinburgh Award Leader and Supervisor, coding facilitator, form tutor and so on.

Osita has excellent classroom management skills and superior rapport with colleagues and administrators as he is someone that you can count on to get the job done. He has gained both academic and professional qualifications from different parts of the world including the UK, Ghana, Nigeria and still counting. Furthermore, it is not just his teaching skills that will impress you but the joy that you will derive in working with him because of his continuous positive attitude and ability to never give up on a child.

Osita is undoubtedly one asset that the BISA school community will always enjoy working with. At his spare time, he loves travelling, reading, socialising and learning new languages.

MEET MS. DONNA-MARIE BRADSHAW

"I grew up in Tanzania, Arusha before moving to the UK to pursue further education. I completed my A levels at an academy in the South West, took a gap year in Reading where I worked as a carer and finally ended up at the University of Exeter where I majored in Psychology.

I love reading works from around the globe, painting, and recreating dishes in the kitchen. Canvases, oil paints, pots and pans- my favourite things in the world.

I absolutely love working with children, helping them to explore their capabilities and guiding them to reach their full potential. I believe that every child is special in their own way, and we as teachers are here to provide the best opportunities for them. I hope to do what I can for as many as I can."

MEET MR. MARK VAGNER

"My name is Mark Vagner, I am 25 years old, and I’m proud to call Arusha home. I have an insatiable need to learn and grow (both mentally and spiritually) and my interests are simultaneously  very broad and niche. Ranging from the usual such as surrounding myself in nature to the unusual; curating eclectic art pieces.

I like to consider myself quick, agile and constantly searching for novelties. To me learning is a lifelong journey and not a destination. I am humbled to be present and on this path. Shukran."
