Meru Leads in Inter-house Cross Country 2024

Primary Cross-Country
On the morning of May 6th, 2024, our primary students gathered for the annual Cross Country event. With spirits high, they dashed off amidst cheers from parents and teachers, tackling a challenging course with determination. Despite the fierce competition, the day was marked by camaraderie and sportsmanship, as every participant, from the frontrunners to the back of the pack, supported and encouraged one another.
The course, designed to test the runners' endurance and strength, pushed them to their limits. Yet, each student gave their all, digging deep and leaving it all on the field (or course, in this case!). Their determination was truly inspiring as they raced across the unforgiving terrain, all for the glory of their house team.
Secondary Cross-Country
Later that day, our secondary school students faced the daunting challenge of conquering the steep hill multiple times. Divided into house teams, the large group of participants added a competitive edge to the race, with each team pushing themselves to the limit while also supporting their fellow runners. Despite the grueling nature of the course, characterized by repeated ascents and a test of stamina, the atmosphere remained charged with camaraderie and unity as athletes cheered each other on towards the finish line.
And the winner is....
Meru!! A huge congratulations to Team Meru for achieving a remarkable victory by securing first place in both the Primary and Secondary school categories! Their dedication and teamwork truly shone through.
