Myths and Legends

Year 3 are excited about their topic on ancient Egypt. As they continue to research and learn about it, they discovered in their literacy lesson this week that the ancient Egyptians had lots of mythical stories that were shared down generations as folk tales.
The Girl with the Rose Red Slippers has been an exciting story that Year 3 have enjoyed reading, narrating and acting out. The role play session was the most exciting since they were able to give the story a little tweak and allow themselves to have different characters to play and show some of the advantages that rich merchants and the gods had in ancient Egypt.
