The Computer Science department at BISA is dedicated to cultivating world-class students with advanced programming skills and critical thinking using Python, recognised as the world's most interactive programming language. From Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, students will be exposed to a diverse array of topics, including data representation, sorting, and searching algorithms, cyber-security, artificial intelligence, data structures, software development, processor fundamentals, and object-oriented programming, enabling them to grasp the intricacies of computing.
We employ instructional and innovative pedagogies that feature interactive discussions and hands-on activities, enriching students' comprehension, and enthusiasm for the subject matter. The curriculum is designed to stimulate original and creative thinking, fostering students' ability to design and develop systems that integrate software and hardware devices.
Our department boasts a modern Computer Lab with air conditioning, internet-connected laptops, a projector, and access to a network printer and scanner. Committed to staying abreast of recent advancements, we continually refine our curriculum to ensure our students graduate with excellence in both IGCSE and A-Level exams, along with proficient programming skills. Motivated and dedicated, our highly qualified subject leader, Osita Matthews, heads the department, striving to impart the best knowledge to the exceptionally talented students in our care.
