29th November 2022
On Saturday 26th November, we took 3 teams to compete at the annual St.Constantine Football Festival. Tired faces welcomed us as the hangover from the KS2 production was evident, but there was no stopping our resilient, positive students!
Our Under 9 boys were amazing in their first competitive football games and were extremely unlucky to lose on penalties in the semi-final. The Under-11 girls made us all proud and scored their first goal as a team as they drew with UWC courtesy of an Annabelle Weston goal - the celebrations were incredible!
Finally, our Under 11 boys were crowned champions as they beat St.Constantine in the final and did not concede a goal in the entire tournament.
The Head of Primary of St Constantine's said, "Your students were an excellent example and impeccably behaved."
Kevin James was given Player of the Tournament and Takunda Kadzirange showed defense and mentality that caught the eye of everyone spectating. As the current World Cup continues, a generation of future footballers have clearly been inspired at BISA Primary and the future looks great.
