25th January 2023
On Saturday, January 21st, the school prefects of Braeburn Arusha participated in a training program that focused on team building and leadership development. The program, which was organised by the school administration, aimed to prepare the prefects for their role in leading and guiding their peers throughout the academic year.
The training began with a series of team-building activities, which were designed to help the prefects work together more effectively as a team. One activity that was included in the training was a blindfolded obstacle course. The prefects were blindfolded and had to navigate through the course, relying on verbal instructions from their team members. This activity helped the prefects to understand the importance of clear communication and trust in a team.
After the team-building activities, the prefects participated in a leadership development workshop. The workshop was led by a leadership coach who provided the prefects with strategies and techniques for effective leadership. The prefects learned about the importance of setting goals, delegation, and decision-making, among other skills.
The training concluded with a reflection session where the prefects shared their thoughts and feedback about the activities and the workshop. The prefects were excited to apply what they had learned to their roles as leaders and were looking forward to the upcoming school year.
Overall, the training program was a success and the school administration is confident that the prefects are now better equipped to fulfill their roles as leaders and role models for their peers. The team-building activities and leadership development workshop helped to build a strong foundation for the prefects to work together and lead the school community effectively.
