13th November 2020
On Wednesday 11 th November, BISA Primary held their annual Sports Day. The morning started with unpredictable weather but thankfully turned out to be the perfect day as it gradually turned warm, making it ideal for the morning event.
Our students looked brilliant in their House colours as they came down to the pitch, with many adding face-paint, posters, horns, flags and other accessories to show their allegiances. The House Captains, organised and inspired their members to ensure every opportunity to gain valuable points was taken.
There were six different activities which included, long jump, discus, javelin, shotput, 100m and 200m sprints. The events ended with a 4×100 relay. The Year 1's and 2's also participated in a sack race fun event. Students participated enthusiastically in all events with every point scored from the different event carefully added by our scorekeepers.
Congratulations to the eventual winners Kilimanjaro House who have managed to maintain a winning streak for the fourth year in a row. Finally, I would like to thank all staff and students. Without such committed staff the day wouldn’t go as smoothly as it did and the students were a tribute to the school with their enthusiastic participation in the competition and respect for fellow athletes.
