YEAR 4 AND RAINFORESTS

Year 4  have been enjoying their topic on rainforests. They have carried out research for their reports on the importance of rainforests, studying and making 3D sculptures of animals found in the rainforests and advocating for everyone to save trees in their Swahili lessons.

They have learnt about the many benefits of the rainforests such as maintaining the world's water cycle, purifying the air, providing medicine and food as well as being a home to animals and indigenous tribes. It is unfortunate,  that due to economic reasons,  the rainforests and trees around the world are being destroyed.

Year 4, through their recent assembly, advocate for people to always opt for other resources to avoid cutting down trees and to always replace any cut tree by planting a new one.

Save the trees!

Save our world!

RAINFORESTS AND BUG HOTELS

EYC AND THE BUG HOTEL.

Playing and learning outdoors is a huge and very important part of the EYFS.

Bug Hotel

By encouraging children to explore our playground, they grow to learn how important insects are to a healthy environment. To do this, we have set up a bug hotel! Our Creche class enjoyed looking for creepy crawlies who are staying in the hotel!
