15th November 2017
The children in FS1 at BISA Infant School have chosen the topic 'On Safari' for this half-term and have had an extra special time this week.
On Tuesday 14th November, some of the team from Savannah Explorers brought a safari jeep and safari tent to Infant School to give the children an insight into what it is like to be a safari guide. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the safari jeep, seeing the tent being put up, and trying it out for themselves. The safari guides even pretended to be lions outside the tent, much to the children's delight!
As if that wasn't enough excitement for the week, on Friday 17th November they travelled to Meserani Snake Park to see some of Africa's more reptilian residents. The children were fascinated with all the creatures and even made connections with some of the stories they had read in class.
"Is that one a dangerous snake?" - Kaizer
"Do you know what? We could make that snake into a hat like in 'Superworm'." - Bella
"Is that a crocodile or an alligator? How do you know?" - Kaihaan
Some of our littlest learners were brave enough to hold a friendly little tortoise and snake.
To top off all their excitement, the children went on a short camel ride with Miss Logan. What a fun day!
