For the third year in a row, BISA students and staff have been amongst the winners of the prestigious Pearson BTEC Awards and we are delighted to share that our wonderful Music teacher, Ms Noela, has been awarded the Global Award for Best BTEC Teacher. Let's hear from her:
"This award is special and very humbling. It has given me renewed vigor and determination to continue giving my best to my learners. I screamed out in excitement and disbelief, that of all the BTEC teachers in the world, Pearson chose to honor me with this award. The joy I feel seeing a child coming into my class and leaving changed, inspired and excited about the lesson has always been my inspiration. I have always been extremely passionate in pushing learners to be the best that they can be. I believe in giving opportunities to explore and nurture talent in every one of us. In the right environment and with correct stimulation, we grow to be the best versions of ourselves. My role is to provide that environment and stimulation for my learners; something I also continue to receive in my growth as a human being and as a teacher." -Noela Gichuru
