On Friday 3rd March, BISA had the pleasure of hosting the 3rd edition of the Arusha regional round for the World Scholar’s Cup. The day was filled with gifted individuals from ten different schools coming together to showcase and appreciate our talents.
From the gripping confidence of the St Judes Girls to the kind sportsmanship of the Mateves Secondary School, students from across Arusha seized the opportunity to learn, laugh and compete!
The day started off with a speech from World Scholar’s officials and included a series of activities from the Scholar’s challenge to collaborative writing and team debate. Undoubtedly, with each new activity, we gained the opportunity to learn more about our strengths, and areas of improvement, and push our academic limits. Looking around and seeing the mix of different uniforms, I realized that what bound us together most was our determination and attitude to learn and dive into the world of knowledge.
One could describe the regional World Scholar’s Cup hosted at Braeburn as a joyous occasion to engage with new characters, listen to different perspectives, and most significantly have fun. Education is the passport to the future and World Scholars gave me the opportunity to become one step closer to the future.
A special mention to Koshy, Kristien, Narindwa, Naledi, and Jo-Marie who posted outstanding results and were top three in the overall results.
A big thanks to Mr. Kennedy Ombuni and the rest of the hardworking Braeburn team who made this possible. Nevertheless to the loving Braeburn parents and schools across Arusha for their continued support and partnership.
