Unga Babies - Making a Difference

9th June 2022

What a delight to see Primary packed with little parents! With huge smiles plastered on their faces and great enthusiasm, our Early Years and Primary students took the role of being a parent very seriously. With visits from the Unga doctor to ensure their baby is in perfect health and inspections from both the good inspector and the bad inspector, this created the full experience of being an Unga parent.

Unga babies was an innovative idea that incorporated teaching the students responsibility and giving back to their community in a fun way. An amazing 95 kgs of dry foods were donated in total, all of which were delivered to Canaan Orphanage.

When asked how they felt about the event, some of our Primary Unga parents exclaimed, "We wish we could have this every day!" and some even gave it a perfect score of 1000 out of ten.

The Community Service Prefects would like to express their gratitude to the parents for their donations, as this would not have been possible without them. We'd also like to express our gratitude to Ms Baker and Miss Pulei for their support and for helping us turn our vision into reality.
