Unity and Leadership: Braeburn Prefect Training

18th January 2024

On Saturday, 13th January, an exciting prefect training session unfolded at Tembo Club, bringing together all the newly elected prefects of Braeburn. The session proved to be valuable for students, as it equipped them with essential leadership skills as well as fostering a sense of unity and teamwork.

The session kicked off with a friendly lunch, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Students then dove into group discussions about leadership and teamwork, sharing insights on what works and what doesn't. Next, they used freeze-frame activities to symbolize collaboration. The rain added an unexpected element to this activity, reminding us that leadership and cooperation thrive even in the face of a spontaneous downpour! Moving inside, there was an intense challenge of building structures with tape and paper straws, enhancing our cooperation skills. Finally, the day wrapped up with a fun bingo activity, leaving us better acquainted with our fellow team members.

In those moments of laughter and challenge, students discovered a shared spirit that will guide them as prefects this year. We look forward to witnessing the impact of their unity and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.

This includes impactful initiatives, collaborative projects, and positive change - marking the beginning of a memorable journey!
