Virtual Author Visit Delights Year 1/2

Our Year 1 and 2 students had a wonderful surprise during their EarlyAct meeting on Thursday when Maria Biswalo, author of Mama's Magical Kanga, joined them virtually to talk about her book and read to them.
The students are keen, with Maria's help, to include a copy of Mama's Magical Kanga in their Baby Boxes along with a couple of kangas as well as many other useful items. The students have the goal of donating 50 'baby boxes' filled with essentials for new mamas at local hospitals in Arusha. Based on the 'Baby Boxes' of Scotland, Finland and Malta (to name a few), they aim to make this an ongoing project - but to do this, they need your help!
We are accepting donations of new or 'as-good-as-new' newborn baby clothes that can be included in these boxes. If you have clothing (or other newborn items) that you would like to donate, please pass them to either of our BISA campuses labelled 'EarlyAct donations'. Every little helps!
