3rd March 2017
One of our favourite events in the school calendar took place on Thursday 2nd March – World Book Day!
Children from Creche up to Year 3 celebrated at Braeburn Early Years Town Campus and fully entered into the spirit of the event with children, teachers and parents dressing up as their favourite character from their favourite story. Costumes ranged from Peter Pan to Rapunzel to Alice to Red Riding Hood to The Three Little Pigs.

After a shared breakfast then a wonderful costume parade, the children split up into their classes to rotate around different activities. They made crafts, adventured through role play stories, and even had a tea party with the Mad Hatter!
Meanwhile, Key Stage 2 and 3 collaborated on a variety of themes including The White Giraffe which focused on conservation and illustration, Harry Potter which focused on orienteering, imaginative spell and potion making and, of course, a good game of Quidditch, and our Football theme which included kit design, a football tournament and a lot of team building.
Not to be left out, Year 9 and 10 took a spooky turn and focused on horror, ghost stories and spooky elements in literature, including their very own haunted house!
Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!
