There are some on-line lessons that are appreciated by ALL family members, in comparison to listening to an English essay for example. The on-line BTEC Hospitality course, is one such course. Our sixth form Hospitality students have been studying Asian Cuisine this term and their final task was to prepare a banquet of at least six different dishes, prepared and cooked within a morning. Mara Beltrandi, who is currently working from her home in Nairobi shared her photo of the feast that she had prepared and the sight of it made all of us all feel hungry! In usual circumstances our Hospitality students invite teachers and students from the school to their final banquets and we help to evaluate their food in terms of presentation, taste, texture and creativity. This week, however, families have enjoyed this wonderful task instead and we look forward to reading their evaluations.
