When Nature and Art Collide

We are always thankful for our beautiful surroundings at both our campuses. With the rains bringing out all of the amazing flowers, Year 3 combined nature and art to explore how to dye fabrics using bougainvillea flowers.

Meanwhile, Year 5 have been investigating a new technique in their art lessons. Have you ever heard of the Slow Reveal drawing method? Well, Year 5 have been learning how to use this amazing technique to sketch portraits in Art. Although a bit nerve racking it is not to know what exactly the original picture is, they have been impressed with their mastery of this technique and how near perfect their sketches are to the pictures that they slowly reveal as they draw.
