Year 3 Explore the Stone Age Period

30th January 2021

The Year 3 class was once again super excited about their topic. They enjoyed learning about the Stone Age and how humans relied heavily on stones in this period in order to make instruments, weapons and houses. Rocks and soils, their current science topic, which is closely related to the subject of the Stone Age, has interested them to learn about fossilization and have them all become young explorers who currently leave no stone unturned in the school compound to find any fossils (as some are hoping they may be able to find some old dinosaur bones if they get to dig deep into the ground). Art in the Stone Age era was also an interesting place to explore for the Year 3 class, as they enjoyed using charcoal in their art sessions to recreate cave man hand print paintings. Well done, Year 3!
