Wow! What a bright day Year 4 had at the Twende workshop in Njiro! We ventured out to explore the amazing work Twende does, using creativity and repurposed materials to build a better community. And boy, did we learn a lot!

Forget textbooks – we got hands-on with electricity! Imagine a room buzzing with excitement (and a little bit of soldering smoke!) as our students carefully followed instructions to build their very own circuits. Yes, you heard that right – soldering! We learned how to use those special tools safely, turning tiny components into working circuits. It was like magic!

But the real fun began when we used recycled materials to create our own torches. Talk about ingenuity! We transformed everyday items into something useful and bright. So, if your torch ever flickers or fades, you know who to call – a Year 4 student! They're now certified torch-fixing experts!

A huge thank you to the fantastic staff at Twende for sharing their knowledge and inspiring our young engineers. It was a truly memorable day, full of learning, laughter, and a whole lot of sparks (not the dangerous kind!). We can't wait to see what amazing things our students create next!
