Year 6 had a wonderful day at George’s Tavern at the end of last term!
They were taught by an excellent chef how a kitchen should be run. Beginning with cleanliness, then stock management and finally how to create a tasty, appetising meal! The children created a beautiful soup with brilliantly made pitta bread! What a day! Thank you to George and his team!
To show off their newly acquired culinary skills, on the last day of school, the students held a parent-student cooking session related to their food and nutrition topic, where the students had prepared a healthy meal and smoothie to match! It was followed by the parents walking around our WW2 museums.
