"Although I have only had the pleasure of this year group for a short time, it has been great fun getting to know them as a class but also as individuals. I have been lucky enough to share in some of the celebrations as they have achieved more than they thought possible: watching them sing, dance and perform in front of audiences and push themselves to win sporting activities. Some have also shared their hopes and fears with me, about their lives and their dreams for the future.
When exploring possible career options, the different array of interests and personalities certainly shone through: from entertainers, marine biologists, game designers, teachers, medical professionals, accountants, and sports scientists. The class is certainly full of different interests and various ambitions, but they all work together to support one another. As they move into their IGCSEs with the options that they have chosen I wish them the best. Studying can be hard, and will challenge them; but I will leave them with a quote from the author of Winnie the Pooh.
“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.” —A.A. Milne
Well done Year 9 on the completion of Key Stage 3! "
